Tin bronzes exhibit excellent corrosion resistance against many chemical agents and find applications in the chemical and processing industries.

With additions of lead and nickel they are used widely for worm gears.

The castability of tin bronzes in the PIAD chill casting process has limitations due to a wide freezing range of this alloy group.

PIAD often substitutes tin bronzes with its special brass alloys (SO10; SO30) and aluminum bronzes.
