- The cast component replaced a
13-piece aluminum fabrication. It is produced in brass to ensure
that the component maintains its strength and performs under the
harsh conditions of the material handling industry. Despite using a
more expensive base material, the conversion to casting still
produced a 25% cost reduction.
- The casting increased the
throughput and simplified procurement significantly, and the
aesthetics of the component also were greatly improved.
